Schedule forms to turn on and off
Pick a date and time for a form to go live, come down, or both — in your store's timezone — and Formtoro flips it for you, even while you sleep.
Holiday popups have a start and an end, and they rarely line up with your working hours. Until now that meant setting an alarm, or a separate automation app, to flip a form at midnight. Now you can schedule it from the builder.
Pick the times, Formtoro does the rest
Click Schedule in the builder's title bar, switch on Turn on automatically, Turn off automatically, or both, and pick a date and time for each. Times are read in your store's timezone, daylight saving included, and each step runs within a few minutes of the time you chose.
The steps can go in either order. On, then off runs a promo window, like Black Friday through Cyber Monday. Off, then on pauses a live form during a site migration and brings it back afterwards. One step on its own works too.
It publishes what you saved
A scheduled turn-on publishes the form's latest saved version, the same as the Turn on button. Save a version before the start time and that's what shoppers see.
You can always see where it stands
Scheduled forms show a Scheduled badge in the Forms list with the next step underneath, for example "Turns off Dec 2, 11:59 PM EST". If a step can't run, for instance because you've reached your plan's published form limit, the badge turns red and tells you why instead of failing quietly.
Turning a form on or off by hand doesn't cancel its schedule. A step that finds the form already on or off is simply skipped. Remove schedule cancels the rest, and archiving a form removes its schedule.
Scheduling is rolling out to stores gradually. See Schedule turning on and off for the full guide.
