Same orders. A fraction of the interruptions.
Enter what your popup does today. We'll hold your order count fixed and work out the views and signups a higher-intent teaser needs to land exactly the same result.
Formtoro product page teaser
Assumes 100,000 monthly popup views and holds your order count constant — the Formtoro column shows the traffic and signups needed to land the same 2,000 orders.
At a 10% signup rate and a 20% conversion rate, Formtoro needs 4,734 views and 3,077 signups to produce the same 2,000 orders — 95 percent fewer views than your current popup.
Why the signup rate is the wrong number to optimize
An entry popup shown to everybody converts a small share of a large audience. Push the signup rate from 10% to 12% and you have gained a few hundred addresses — and still interrupted ninety thousand people to get them.
A product-page teaser inverts that. It appears where intent already exists, so a far smaller audience produces the same number of orders. The signup rate rises not because the form is cleverer, but because the people seeing it were already interested — and everyone else is left alone.
The second thing that changes is what you learn. An email field collects one data point. A teaser that asks a handful of qualifying questions collects five, and every one of them is a segment you can hold a campaign against later.
